The Syed Taalay Ahmed Memorial Shield Tournament took place on Saturday at High Tunstall College of Science.
Taalay was shot and killed, aged just 31, in an armed robbery in Ghana in 2021 while working for MTA.
Hartlepool Life photographer Michael Gant captured these “all action” pictures of the event which has raised more than £13,000 over the past few years for national and regional charities.
This year all proceeds will support the Syed Taalay Ahmed Scholarship, Hartlepool Baby Bank and Alice House Hospice.
Taalay’s friend Farhan Ali said: “Let’s honour the legacy of Syed Taalay Ahmed through teamwork, compassion, and community.
Taalay was the head boy at both High Tunstall College of Science and the English Martyrs School and Sixth Form College.
He went on to study for a masters degree in magazine journalism at Sunderland University in 2012-13.
