A family Ceilidh, at St Hilda’s Church, featured guest musicians The Hooliemen who played a wide range of traditional Folk music to keep everyone dancing.
The main event is on the weekend of 2-4 October at various venues on Hartlepool’s historic Headland.
Organiser Becky-Seal Smith said: “I am delighted by the interest and support garnered from the local community so far. Supported by a committee of 10 local residents, the event will be non-profit making, with all proceeds to be fed back to charitable organisations in the area.”

Meanwhile, Tees Folk has announced its guests for the event taking place on Saturday, 19 September at Stockton Globe Theatre.
Headlining are Northumbria singing siblings The Unthanks, with Teesside’s Amelia Coburn, folkie John Smith and East Cleveland’s Dale Husband, better known as Glad Town Ghost.
