The gathered friends originally left St Anne’s Secondary School for Girls in Hartlepool way back in 1966.
They all got together at the Marine Hotel in Seaton Carew to celebrate their 60th Diamond anniversary.
The reunion was organised by Marie Andrew and Pat Bunn, who said: “We all had a lovely day. We all meet once a month at the Marine, but this one was very special. There were 26 of us in total, and there were three of us who came that we hadn’t seen in a while.”
She added: “We have always kept in touch and we have always been there for each other, and everyone meeting up today for our 60th was very special. And it was really nice to meet Hartlepool Life photographer Michael Gant, who took some lovely pictures of us all.”
St Anne’s, which used to be situated on Catcote Road, was demolished to make way for what is now English Martyrs School.
