The incident happened at around 10.45pm on Harlech Walk, near Montgomery Grove, on Wednesday, 12 August.
DC Allen, of Hartlepool CID, said: “The victim had his red delivery bag ripped from him, causing him to fall to the ground. He sustained grazing to his leg and was left shaken but, thankfully, he didn’t require medical attention. The suspect who stole the bag is described as white, in his 30s, with short facial hair, blonde/ginger short hair, 6ft 1” tall, and of medium build. He was wearing a green t-shirt. “
DC Allen added: “Another man, who was present, is described as white, in his late 20s with short black curly hair, facial hair, 5’10” tall and of slim build. I would urge anyone with information or any doorbell, dash cam or private CCTV to contact Hartlepool CID via the 101 number quoting ref 160972 .
