THIS year’s Headland Folk Fest has organised a “Rising Stars” competition with the chance of playing on its main stage for the winner!
The contest has three categories – solo performer, duo group and bands of three +. Entrants must be folk, country or indie style only – with no karaoke!
The first heat is being held at St George’s Venue, Park Road, on Saturday, 12 September and audience tickets are £5 on the door – with accompanied children free.
The winner will have the chance of playing on the festival’s main stage, both this year and next year, and will also be given a website feature.
