The cast of this year’s Hartlepool Town Hall Theatre pantomime – the ever-popular “Cinderella” – lined up for an early photo call.
A spokesperson said: “Packed with laugh-out-loud comedy, dazzling costumes, sensational songs, stunning special effects and plenty of magical surprises, this year’s panto by AJ Theatrical Productions promises to be the most spectacular pantomime yet – and an unforgettable experience for all ages. Back to cause chaos and leave audiences in stitches are Hartlepool’s unforgettable dame, Gary Martin Davis, and the devilishly evil Anthony Turner, who are teaming up as the wickedly funny Ugly Sisters. Expect outrageous costumes, hilarious antics and enough mischief to keep the whole family laughing from start to finish!”
The production also marks the highly anticipated return of North East pantomime favourite Davey Hopper, who takes on the role of Dandini. After stepping away from Christmas pantomime to pursue opportunities with Disney, Davey returns to the stage for his first Christmas pantomime since this hiatus, bringing a much-loved panto face back to the stage where audiences will remember him so fondly.
Also returning is Hartlepool pantomime favourite Phil Reid, back by popular demand as the loveable and hilarious Buttons, bringing his trademark comedy, warmth and hilarity to the stage.
This season introduces Scarlett Elizabeth Robson to the audiences of Hartlepool as Cinderella, and no Hartlepool pantomime would be complete without crowd favourites Ruff Diamond, who return with their high-energy performances guaranteed to get audiences clapping, singing and dancing along.
Ticket prices for the pantomime – which runs from Thursday, 10 December to Sunday, 27 December – start from just £14 for children and £16 for adults, plus a £1.50 booking fee per ticket (capped at a maximum booking fee of £7.50 for five or more tickets purchased together). Tickets are available from the Hartlepool Town Hall Theatre Box Office in Hartlepool Art Gallery in Church Square, open Tuesday to Saturday from 10am to 1pm, by calling 01429 890000, or online at www.creativehartlepool.com.
