A MEGA litter pick and weed clean-up on a Hartlepool housing estate proved a big success.
Members of the Central Estate Residents Group joined forces with volunteers, staff from Thirteen Group, 0800 Repairs, Josephine Bonner, West View Church, Glen Hughes, Community Cohesion & Resilience Officer for Hartlepool Borough Council, and Juli Simons, Senior Officer for Hartlepool Community Trust on the day.
Spokeswoman Mandy Bell said: “It was hailed as a great success, with residents commenting on how much difference was made in a few short hours – it’s hoped that this will become a regular event and the Residents Group welcomes any new volunteers.”
