HOSPITAL chiefs are asking for the views of young mums and mothers-to-be to improve its maternity service.
A spokesperson for University Hospitals Tees, which includes the University Hospital of Hartlepool said: “Having a baby is an exciting time but it can also feel overwhelming. At University Hospitals Tees, we are committed to providing high-quality maternity and neo-natal care and ensuring the best possible experience for women, babies and families.”
They added: “As part of this commitment, we’ve launched The Big Maternity and Neonates Conversation. Whether your experience was recent or a little while ago, your feedback will help us better understand what matters most to the people we care for.”
The group wants to know:
- What matters most to you when receiving maternity or neonatal care
- What helps you feel safe, supported and listened to
- What we could do to improve the experience for you and your family.
Steph Worn, Director of Midwifery, pictured, said: “Your voice really does matter. We don’t want to make assumptions about what’s important to you; the best way for us to improve our services is by listening to the people who use them.”
The survey is open to people who have used services provided by University Hospitals Tees, including:
- The James Cook University Hospital
- University Hospital of North Tees
- University Hospital of Hartlepool
- Friarage Hospital
- Our community services
