A BRAVE group of people abseiled down a Hartlepool church clock tower as part of its 900th anniversary celebrations.
The “sponsored Abseil Challenge”, which was held at All Saints Stranton Church, also included a Past Memories exhibition inside the church
A spokesperson said: “Many congratulations to everyone who took up our abseil challenge – members of our local community, church members, family and friends. It was great to welcome back Revd Dr Nick Moore, former Curate, and Warden Cranmer Hall to take up the challenge!”
They added: “A big thank you to all our 900th team, volunteers and the wonderful team at ‘Canoes, Mountains, Caves’ who made our special day possible. It was a joy to work with you on this special day!”
