Richie Docherty was well known as singer and guitarist with mega-popular town band The Jar Family.
The band trailed a blaze throughout the noughties with Richie forefront with his excellent songs and amazing stage presence.
Richie’s passing has come as a shock to the Hartlepool music community, he will be very sadly missed but very, very fondly remembered and our thoughts are with his bandmate, family and friends.

Dave Llewellyn was a member of The Studio in Hartlepool way back in the day when it was based in Durham Street.
He was a gifted keyboard player and performed with many bands in the town.
He later went on to become the voice of BBC Radio Tees traffic and travel bulletins for more than 20 years and was a brilliant broadcaster.
Dave passed away aged 57 after a short illness and our thoughts are with his wife, Ange, his daughter, Amy and all of his friends and family.
