The Prestige Care Group has funded two counselling positions for six months at The Haven, based at Victoria Road.
The group’s Chief Operating Officer, Lynn Maddison, and Chief Finance Officer, John O’Donnell, met with Haven Project Coordinator Dawn Grover and counsellors, John Reid and Debra Riddle, during their visit to the charity.
Lynn said: “It was inspiring to visit The Haven and see the dedication of the team and the impact their work is having. Supporting young people’s mental and emotional health is something we feel strongly about, and we are proud to help fund these counselling roles. The support being provided here is changing lives and strengthening the community.”
John added: “Meeting Dawn, John and Debra and hearing about the difference they make every day reinforced why this partnership is so important. We are delighted to support The Haven and the invaluable services they provide to young people across Hartlepool.”
Dawn told the visitors that Haven was “incredibly grateful for their generous support”.
She said: “Funding the roles of John and Debra has enabled us to reduce waiting times for our counselling services to many young people who may otherwise have struggled to access the help they need. Partnerships like this make a real difference to the lives of young people in Hartlepool.”
