What a tournament that was! I must say, I am very glad that Spain took the trophy on Sunday; they deserved it a lot more than Argentina given the antics they’ve played throughout the competition. I’ve never wanted a team to lose so badly, and yes, the fact they barely beat us might have something to do with that…
Spain definitely played the better match; did Argentina even touch the ball? I think they kicked opponents more than they did the ball itself. Aside from the violence they showed to the opposing teams on either side of the whistle, I really didn’t get the hype from the blue and whites at all.
The best person on that pitch was by far Bieber during the half-time show; yes, I cried, and no, I won’t get over it! It was nice to see the Muppets in the spotlight, and no, I don’t mean Messi and Enzo Fernández – haha!
Nevertheless, we have the Euros next, and I’m pretty sure it’s being held by the UK, so the atmosphere is going to be crazy and you best believe I’ll be trying to attend a match or two.
