It was announced that The Hartlepool Walking and Cycling Hub was to “temporarily” close at the end of March while a search for a new operator was undertaken.
But the facility won a reprieve to open for the next three months and now the team from the hub, on Church Street, have revealed that it is now operating under its new provider.
The hub’s Graham McBain said: “The new provider is now running the Tees Valley Walking and Cycling Hubs from the 1st of August. Thank you for your support of the Hartlepool Hub. I have thoroughly enjoyed working here over the last two years and look forward to seeing what future walking and cycling services develop and grow with the new provider. Have a great summer & go well.”

The team will continue to offer its free services including
Dr Bike free bike health check, guided walks and rides, cycle confidence sessions, cycle maintenance course, personalised travel planning and bike recycling.
