The sale of the 11 acres (4.5 hectares) site was handled by GSC Grays specialist Rural Business & Leisure department with a guide price of £2m.
It already benefits from a range of planning permissions including consent for 105 touring caravan and motorhome pitches and 37 static holiday caravans, with potential to increase the https://www.gscgrays.co.uk/property/dalton-piercy-hartlepool/nhttps://www.gscgrays.co.uk/property/dalton-piercy-hartlepool/umber of static units to 47, subject to the necessary planning requirements.
Further permissions include storage for up to 143 touring caravans and the construction of a four-bedroom owner or manager’s residence.
The park – which operates under a 12 month Site Licence – also includes a centrally positioned reception building, incorporating a licensed social club, together with an amenity block, staff accommodation and an equipment store.
Katherine Wigham, Associate, GSC Grays said: “Ashfield Caravan Park attracted strong interest because of the range of permissions already in place and the different options available for the future use of the site. The existing consents provide the new owner with a range of options for the future, including additional holiday accommodation, caravan storage and an owner or manager’s residence. Plans are already in place by the new owner to progress the static holiday caravan element of the park, alongside investment in improvements to the existing touring site.”
The park is well positioned for both Hartlepool and the North East generally, where ongoing investment in tourism, leisure and regeneration is continuing to make the region more attractive to visitors.
Recent projects in Hartlepool include investment in the Waterfront and wider Town Deal programme, with a focus on improving visitor facilities and supporting the town’s tourism and leisure sector.
