Eddie Huntington won a 10-day trip to South Africa – including seven days on safari – on ITV’s “Win Win with Postcode Lottery”, hosted by Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins.
He won after going “head-to-head” with a contestant from Fareham on the question, “The Nation’s Top 10 Favourite Boy Bands”. Eddie’s answer “Take That” shot straight to the top of the leaderboard, meaning Eddie had won the round!
Eddie had the choice of either the holiday or trading it for a spot on Millionaire’s Row. After careful consideration, he decided to take the trip and treat his family to the unforgettable experience.
Before securing the prize, host Mel Giedroyc asked Eddie: “How good does that safari look to you?” to which he enthusiastically replied, “Oh, fantastic!”
Sue Perkins then joined in, joking: “I can see you now on the back of a jeep, singing Gina G at the top of your lungs.” Sue continued the playful imagery, saying, “A gazelle running next to you. Oh, it sounds good!”
When it came time to make his decision, Sue asked: “So, Eddie, the choice is yours, my friend. What are you going to do? Are you going to take it or trade it?”
Without hesitation, Eddie replied: “I’m going to take my beautiful wife on safari!”
Mel then asked whether the prize had simply been too good to refuse. Eddie explained: “It was. My wife is a really outdoorsy person. She works at a forest school and loves being outside, so she’ll absolutely love that prize.”
