The project, which has been planned in collaboration with Hartlepool Borough Council and Durham County Council, is expected to last until the start of November.
A Northern Gas Networks spokesperson said: “There will be rolling multiway lights in place between Evergreen Holiday Park and Seaview Park Homes for the full duration of this work. Please allow extra time for your journey.”
Nigel Pearson, Site Manager at Northern Gas Networks, said: “We would like to apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused during these essential works. However, it’s vital we complete them in order to continue to maintain a safe and reliable gas supply to the residents of Hartlepool.”
