- Treat roses to prevent pests and diseases.
- Trim Broom immediately after flowering, but don’t cut into old wood.
- Plant out cabbages and sprouts raised in nursery beds.
- Remove thatch and moss from your lawn by giving it a good rake.
- Mulch a layer of compost around recently planted bedding plants to help conserve moisture.
- Regularly water trees and shrubs planted during the winter until they are well established.
- Plant up your hanging baskets, if you haven’t already done so.
- Use new shoots on Fuchsias and Pelargoniums as cuttings.
- Deter lily beetle by spraying lilies with insecticide.
- Hoe at least once a week to stop weeds taking hold.
- Deadhead faded-looking Rhododendrons and Azaleas.
- Sow biennials to flower next year.
