AS the season develops the subtle cream variegation of many hostas turns into a stunning white.
This variegation can be in the centre or form the margin to the leaf, in both cases, they look that bit extra special at this time of year. Here are a few beauties available from Rewela Hostas:
Hosta Karin forms a medium-sized mound and the foliage is characterised by very dark black-green leaves surrounded by a wide creamy gold border. Tall stalks bear light lavender flowers, it’s sun-tolerant and slug-resistant.
Hosta Coloured Hulk has thick, slightly cupped, heart-shaped lime green leaves with a prominent, wide dark green border. It prefers dappled shade with some sunlight to maintain colour intensity.
Hosta London Bridge, pictured, has twisted and contorted leaves and forms a gnarled looking mount.
