She will be appearing, along with guitarist Carmelo Luggeri, at St. George’s Venue, in Park Road, on Friday, 5 June.
Kiki is best known for her 1976’s Number One duet with Elton John, “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart”, but her other hits include “Amoreuse”, “I’ve Got the Music in Me” and “Star.
Carmelo has a Hartlepool connection, as he played in 80s’ band Sons Of Heroes with well-known town scenester and West View lad Geoff Grange on vocals.
St. George’s Venue’s has enjoyed a busy year so far with concerts from Axum Folk Ensemble, the Auckland Shanty Singers, Ashley Campbell, the daughter of country legend Glen Campbell, top folk duo Jim Causeley & Miranda Sykes and former member of UK folk legends Fairport Convention, Vicky Clayton.
Next month sees The Cobweb Orchestra perform a matinee show at the venue on Sunday, 12 July.
