Michael said on social media: “A few weeks ago I was approached by Hartlepool Foodbank who asked if there was any way I could support them around the night and, from previous charity work with them where me and my dad done a running challenge in 2023, I know at first hand the crucial work they do within the town and within the community so it was a bit of a no brainer.”
He continued: “With that being said, there’s gonna be a donation station on the night where people can bring down food and I’ll post a list of what is needed closer to the time. If you don’t want to bring food down, there will also be some donation buckets where people can fling a few spare quid in there. I’m going to be donating profits from the merch that I sell on the night – so if you buy a “Soul Food” CD or a “Soul Food” vinyl, or a “Soul Food” t-shirt, then money from that will be getting donated directly to Hartlepool Food Bank.”
Michael added: “I know the times are pretty tough for everyone at the moment and money is quite tight but I think it’s really important that we come together as a community and we support those most in need.”
TWO times Brit winner BECKY HILL is playing an “intimate” gig at MIDDLESBROUGH EMPIRE on Wednesday, 11 November to promote her third album “Rebecca”.Becky said of the single: “‘l0st the pl0t’ came from conversations with other artists and realising we’re all going through a lot of the same things. You’re trying to tour, work, keep your house clean, wash your clothes, unpack and repack suitcases, while dealing with barely seeing your family. It’s very easy to lose yourself in the business side of music and let the numbers and pressures take over. The song is me looking at all of that from the inside and recognising how easily you can get lost in it.”
