WE try to run a big raffle every 12-18 months.
So many individuals and businesses have contributed to our previous raffles’ success, both with donations of prizes and helping with the buying and selling of tickets.
While in the process of organising this year’s summer raffle, we are absolutely thrilled to have been given so many fabulous prizes.
Our first prize this year – worth £1,600 – is something a little different.
GN Resound are donating a pair of Specsavers Advance 465 rechargeable hearing aids, complete with charger. Hartlepool
Hearcare, Specsavers, will perform a full hearing assessment to programme and dispense the hearing aids – they will also guarantee the aids for four years and provide all necessary aftercare service free of charge.
These aids come in a range of colours – the choice of colour can be selected by the winner. Hearing aids are not something you see every day in a raffle but a great prize and a very generous one.
Yvonne Lycett, audiologist at Specsavers Hartlepool, said: “I have known both Pam and Bill on a professional basis for the last four years and have heard so much about the charity and its fantastic work.
“We at Specsavers Hartlepool are always keen to support our local community and wanted to find a meaningful way to support the work the charity does. We hope by donating the hearing aids this small token, along with the other fantastic raffle prizes, helps the charity raise funds to enable them continue their work, installing and maintaining these life-saving devices in Hartlepool”.
In addition to our fabulous 1st prize, there are many more fantastic prizes to be won, including everything from a 55” Smart TV to an air fryer, electric drill, drinks hamper, beauty and hair vouchers, meals out, day trips, lawn treatment, pet care, scrummy cakes, an MOT and more.
