Ensemble ‘84 is staging “The Tragicall Historie of Hamlet – Shakespeare’s First Quarto” up to and including this Saturday, 6 June.
The production has received rave reviews with The Reviews’ Hub saying “This entire production and all the performances would not look out of place at the RSC or National Theatre” while Cultured North East said: “I hope Ensemble ’84 continues to thrive, Horden really does have something to be proud of here” and your very own Hartlepool Life said: “Sir Ian McKellen proclaimed this will be the most important theatrical event in the UK this year – He is not wrong!”
It is the first production in their sumptuous new home, The Playhouse, formerly known as Horden Roman Catholic Church.
This is the new base of Ensemble ’84 which has relocated from its original, smaller home in the village’s Methodist Church.
