Brierton Sports Centre is re-opening this Monday, 13 July, following a significant transformation.
Run by Hartlepool Borough Council’s Active Hartlepool service, the centre has undergone an extensive refurbishment designed to elevate the health and wellbeing experience for the town’s community.
Gemma Ptak, HBC’s Director of Housing, Growth and Communities, said: “We are delighted to welcome people back to Brierton Sports Centre after such a major transformation. These improvements are all about giving our residents access to modern, high-quality facilities that help them lead healthier lives. This is a fantastic space that the whole community can enjoy.”
She added: “This refurbishment represents a real step-change in the experience we can offer our members.
We’ve listened carefully to feedback, and the result is something we’re incredibly proud of.”
Upgrades at the gym and fitness studio, on Brierton Lane, include new Technogym equipment, brand-new Technogym spin bikes, an expanded workout area after structural improvements and much more.
As a thank you to loyal members for their patience during the works, anyone who froze their membership will also receive free access from 13–31 July, with payments resuming from 1 August.
Ms Ptak said: “We want to thank our members for their patience by giving them free access for the rest of July. The reopening of Brierton is another key milestone in our ongoing commitment to improving health and wellbeing across Hartlepool.”
