The special evening, held at The Steelies, showcased the progress and talent of the young singers, drawing an enthusiastic audience from across the community.
It featured performances from both the choir’s Infant and Junior sections who delivered a varied and engaging programme of songs. Highlights included the emotional and moving “Small Part of the World” and the lively, crowd-pleasing “Try Everything”, demonstrating the choir’s versatility and growing confidence.
Adding to the occasion, the choir was joined on stage for two songs by Songbirds Ladies Choir, whose collaboration brought an extra layer of richness and harmony to the performance.
Speaking after the concert, organisers expressed pride in the choir’s achievements over the past year and gratitude for the strong support shown by families, friends, and the wider community.
“This concert represents not just a performance, but the culmination of a year of dedication, growth, and enthusiasm from all our young members,” Junior Choir Leader Kate said. “We are incredibly proud of what they have accomplished and excited for what the future holds.”
The event was made even more memorable by the presence of several prominent figures from the Hartlepool community, including Mayor Carole Thompson, Councillor Phil Holbrook, Councillor Brenda Harrison and Chris Simmons MBE, the former conductor of Hartlepool Youth Choir. Their attendance underscored the importance of the choir’s contribution to local arts and youth development.
A spokesperson for the choir said: “Hartlepool Children’s Choir looks forward to building on this success and continuing to provide opportunities for young people to develop their musical talents in a supportive and inspiring environment.”
