The new Books & Banter Bookclub in Hartlepool has been a saviour for meeting new people who share my interests, in this case, books.
A group of us arranged to go to Newcastle to the new romance-only bookshop, Sinful Spine, to meet the fantastic Sadie Kincaid. She writes great dark romance books, and the series I’m currently reading from here is mafia romance!
She was super friendly, signed our books, which we brought to the event, and chatted to us about her writing process and had a good laugh. It was great to put a face to the author whose books I’ve been flying through.
The Sinful Spine is a beautiful shop, focusing on all kinds of romance but mainly the darker kind – hehe!
It was a lovely evening spent with my new friends, one of whom I’ve now joined the gym with. We actually did a Pilates class this week – I don’t know who I think I am – but let’s just say I have aching muscles in places I didn’t even know I had them.
