Acts include Auckland Shanty, Barrett, Broad and Pugh, Flash Co, Greenman Rising, Gaelforce, Richard G and Chris Parkinson and the ever popular Seatones.
There is also a LitFest, on Saturday, 4 October, offering “Words and Music, By the Sea.” Contributors include Hartlepool’s Alan Wright, R.T. Taylor, Griff Hosker, S.J Martin and Gabriel Moreno.
A spokesperson for the event said: “Over the weekend of October 2nd, 3rd and 4th, a wide variety of folk–based events will be taking place across the Headland –– not just folk music and ceilidhs, but also Morris Dancers, street entertainers, a selection of stallholders selling wares and a wide variety of food vendors. There will also be a 1940s themed event on Sunday 4th, incorporating period dress, enactments and with various vintage wartime vehicles on display.”
They added: “All proceeds go to charity – this is a non–profit making event for the benefit of the community and its aim is to promote local businesses and music along with raising awareness of what Hartlepool has to offer.. There really is something for everyone.”
