Hartlepool Development Corporation (HDC) has given the go-ahead to a hybrid application submitted by Hellens Group for Queens Meadow Business Park, off the A689, in Hartlepool.
The decision gives outline permission to provide up to 677,250 sq ft of employment floorspace and full approval for 14 new employment buildings with associated infrastructure, access and landscaping.
Hellens Group bosses have said the new development will support “the continued growth” of the business park and the wider Hartlepool economy.
Chief Executive Gavin Cordwell-Smith said: “We’re delighted to have secured planning permission for this important development at Queens Meadow. This is a major employment site with enormous potential to support business growth, attract investment and create jobs for Hartlepool.”
“Queens Meadow is already an established and well-connected business location, and this approval allows us to move forward with plans to bring more high-quality employment space to the borough,” reported the Local Democracy Reporting Service.
This time last year Hellens Group’s application to build over 200 new homes bringing over 1,000 jobs were approved by HDC.
