A new chapter has begun for Blue House, the established woodland burial ground near Hartlepool, as it joins the Tithe Green Natural Burial family.
Tithe Green are a small, family-run team that have been helping families to arrange natural burials, cremations and interment of ashes since 1999.
Led by James and Helena O’Donnell, their ethos is rooted in generations of caring for the land, with a commitment to protecting nature while supporting families with warmth and compassion.
Blue House is Tithe Green’s fourth site and first in the North East. It will be thoughtfully cared for, honouring those already laid to rest while gently enhancing the landscape.
“At Tithe Green, families have a place forever,” says James O’Donnell. “There are no renewal fees, and every site is protected to become permanent woodland. It’s about creating something lasting – for people and for nature.”
Visitors are warmly invited to explore Blue House and discover natural burial at their own pace.
