AFTER the success of the inaugural Hartlepool Rock School showcase gig, they host their second this Sunday, 5 July from noon-5pm once again at The Studio, in Tower Street.
On the bill of up and coming town talent are metalheads Final Witness, the debut performance from Falling Zone, the incredible Haywire and the cosmic Physics Dave and the Sound Wave.
The Rock School’s Mark Sandles is now including in the showcase a set from an established town band, in the hope of inspiring the youngsters, and welcomes garage band Thee Strawberry Mynde to top the bill, who feature Studio Trustee and Hartlepool music scene stalwart Paul Garner. Played Paul!
Admission is FREE but donations on the door will be greatly appreciated and go towards the school’s base in The Studio to help with any further maintenance or upgrades.
The show kicks off a packed summer programme for The Studio, which this Friday, 3 July features Hartlepool band Leaders of Men, alongside Exit and Cardiac.
Next Saturday, 11 July at the venue is the fantastic metal all-dayer Vulgarfest while the following Saturday 18th is classic rock tribute act Midnight Echoes.
Saturday, 25th features the spectacular Drag Act double bill of Paris Baby and Naya Thorn, in a very special and certainly “not-yer-average” night out in Hartlepool!
Saturday, 22 August features the brill Baggy tribute act Madchester Anthems, who slayed the Hartlepool Tall Ships Races a few years ago followed on Sunday 30th by the award-winning ABBA tribute, Kiss The Teacher.
