We went to the Sunday set, which included big artists like Kehlani, Niall Horan, CMAT, and last but not least, Olivia Dean. The full day was amazing, with such a good atmosphere, even though you could see everyone sizzling away. We had Factor 50 suncream on, and I’m still red raw!
There was something for everyone between the BBC Introducing stage, the New Music stage and the headlining one. It’s hard to believe that Olivia Dean was on the Introducing stage in 2023 – and now she’s a headliner!
Although I was never a One Direction fan, I did always like Niall (it helped that he was Irish!), so it was great to see him on stage – he’s definitely aged like a fine wine!
It was so nice to be outdoors again and surrounded by music and good vibes. It feels like it’s been too long since we’ve had any kind of heat, and then we had been thrown in the deep end this weekend and it was TOO much – but I’m not faulting it.
Olivia Dean was fabulous, but I expected nothing less from her. Although I was kind of disappointed that she didn’t bring out Sam Fender on her set, especially for Rein Me In, which she didn’t even sing.
All in all, it was the perfect end to a sunny day, everyone left in good spirits – even if they were a lot more red than they were before they arrived!
